FERILITY STATISTICS OF ENCARSIA TRANSVENA TIMBERLAKE PARASITIZING GREENHOUSE WHITEFLY, TRAIALEURODES VAPORARIORUM WESTWOOD

The growth rate statistics were used to develop fertility table for Encarsia transvena parasitizing nymphs of Trialeurodes vaporiorum present on tomato, cucumber and French bean at room temperature. The gross reproductive rate (GRR) of 24.6 female egg/female was higher if the parastszation of whstefly nymphs occurred on cucumber crop as compared to tomato (20.2) or French bean (19.10). The net reproductive tate representing the total female birth was also maximum (20.83 female eggs/femaie) on cucumber crop. The intrinsic rate of increase of the parasitoid was also more on cucumber (r_m = 0.192) as compared to than on tomato (0.181) and French bean (0.178). Doubling time (DT) was minimum (3.61 days) on cucumber with a weekly multiplication tate of 3.83, while it was 3.82 and 3.90 days on tomato and French bean corp witha weekly multiplication rate of 3.82 and 3.90, respectively.
