摘要

Ten poplar clones (WSL-29, L-50/88, L-156/89, S7C8, G-3, G-48, WSL-22, S7C15 L-154/84 and Uday) were selected and the nutritional indices of Clostera restitura Walker were assessed. Consumption index (CI), growth rate (GR), relative growth rate (RGR),approximate digestibility (AD), efficiency of conversion of ingested food (ECI) and efficiency of conversion of digested food (ECD) varied from 1.23-3.21, 0.62-0.69, 0.18-0.28,28.84-82.95, 14.67-29.87 and 15.99-61.26 per cent, respectively. The CI, RGRand AD decreased gradually with the increase in age of larvae whereas ECD increased from third to fifth instars larvae. GR and ECI were highest during the fourth instar. All the indices except ECI varied significantly on different poplar clones. Lower CIand higher GR, RGR, AD and ECD on S7C15, L-154/84 and WSL-29 indicated these clones were most susceptible, whereas L-50/88 and L-156/89 with higher CI and lower GR, RGR, AD and ECD were found tolerant to C. restitura.
