摘要

Abrasive wear resistance of steel specimens (steel 40) with longitudinal and transverse non-ferrous metal layers (zinc and copper) and alloys (brass JI79, JI 63, duralumin JI 16) were studied by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray phase analysis. The combination of the basic metal and brass JI 79 layer was found to be the most wear-resistant. The temperature in the friction zone can be evaluated by the formation of spinel ZnFe{sub}2O{sub}4. The increase in the wear resistance of the specimens layered in the transverse direction was explained by transfer of the non-ferrous metal to the surface of the basic metal. The thickness of the layer was calculated.
