Self-organization occurs at all levels of a tribosystem, including the formation of wear particles. In this paper we try to apply the fractal formalization to the description of size distribution of wear products. It was shown that the fractal dimension can be calculated by the distribution of wear particles and it allows us to predict a series of dissipative properties of a tribosystem.
