Background: Aggressive angiomyxoma of the vulva is a rare benign but locally aggressive tumor. Because of high risk of recurrence, treatment should be a wide surgical resection but diagnosis is often made postoperatively on histological examination after simple resection. The necessity of surgical re-excision is still controversial. Cases: We report 2 cases of vulvar aggressive angiomyxoma diagnosed postoperatively. Surgical re-excision was indicated in the 2 cases because of positive surgical margins, performed in 1 case and refused by the other patient. Conclusions: We conclude that all solid mass of the vulva should be explored by biopsy before excision in order to avoid second surgery in case of aggressive tumors.
