The main aim of the work was to investigate the influence of high pressure torsion (HPT) on the structure and physical properties of the polymers Poly(methylmetacrylate)s, poly(ethylene)s, and poly(thtalydilidcnebiphenilylene)s. Quasihydrostatic pressure up to 6 GPa and torsion deformation a up to 5 were used.. Film thicknesses were in the range from 20 mlcm to 300 mkm with a diameter ~10 mm. The structural properties of the samples were investigated by polarizing-optical microscopy. The following parameters were measured: permittivity, conductivity, electronic paramagnetic resonance, and others. Some stages of structural transformation, changes of chemical structure and the appearance of new physical properties of the polymers were discovered.
