摘要

A laboratory experiment was conducted during 2012 at the Main Agricultural Research Station Dharwad to study the impact of some insecticides on coccinellids, Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fab.) and Hippodamia variegata (Goeze). Among all the insecticides tested fenvalerate (60%) and imidacloprid (63.33%) were found relatively safer to C. sexmaculata, while Thiamethoxam (46.47%) and fenvalerate (46.67%) were less toxic to H. variegate under laboratory conditions. Whereas, dimethoate, monocrotophos, oxydemeton methyl, methyl parathion, nimbecidine and malathion recorded 100 per cent mortality ofC sexmaculata and H. variegata which were found to be highly toxic.
