RINGGOLD, Ga. - "A complete line of automotive tires at wholesale prices, complete oil, lube and brakes" - that's what it says on the business cards of North Georgia Tire & Alignment, and they not only provide all of the above, but handle a large volume of emergency road service as well. During an interview with Clay Brooks, we learned that his father, Mike Brooks, has owned the business 20-plus years. Mike actually started the business at a car lot right across the street from where it is now. He rented a building from the car dealer where he did mechanical work and "a little bit of tires," according to his son. "Now we do more tires and minor mechanical ... not so much major. Over there we did engines and stuff, but not now."
