China to establish centres for disposing medical wastes

In China,the State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) has submitted a plan to the State Council for establishing about 200300 medical waste disposal centres over the next 2-3 years. Officials and experts with the Ministry of Health and the Beijing municipal government expressed that this move is a lesson from the outbreak of SARS,which claimed 394 lives.
