摘要

The cytochrome P450 {CYPJ enzyme CYP2D6 is involved in the metabolism of many drugs, including antidepressants. Genetic polymorphisms in CYP2D6 account for a substantial proportion of interindividual differences in pharmacokinetics of drugs metabolized by this enzyme. The newly discovered mutation CYP2D6*41 was found to account for over 60% of the large group of intermediate metabolizers in Caucasian populations (1-3).
