Sonographic Evaluation of a Testicular Fracture

A male in his late teens arrived in the emergency room with severe left testicular pain and swelling. He had jumped off a curb with his bicycle and landed squarely on the bicycle bar causing a straddle injury. The trauma had occurred three days earlier, and he presented to the emergency room with increased scrotal swelling and discomfort. By physical examination, his left hemiscro-tum was red and very swollen.
