Spectroscopy is an important part of the overall training of undergraduate chemistry students (1).IR,UV-vis,and NMR instrumentation are critical components of educational instrumental facilities at all colleges and universities.Community colleges are an important group among institutions of higher learning,especially since an estimated 47% of all U.S.undergraduates in public higher education attend community colleges (2).Unfortunately,there are still students without access to modern FT-NMR spectrometers.
