摘要

The preparation of organomecallic complexes of Ni(II) in solution presents an excellent way to visualize the mechanisms involved in oxidative addition and substitution processes. The kinetic and mechanistic study of the substitution mechanisms on these Ni(II) complexes provides understanding of the associative processes operating in square-planar complexes (1-3). As expected for associative-activated processes, steric hindrance in the system results in a dramatic decrease in the reaction rate of the substitution processes. This can be quantified by modifying the size and character of the substituents (4-7).
