The contact angles of the ternary system celestite + alkylic collector aqueous solutions + air were measured over the range 1.4·10~(-5) mol·L~(-1) to 5,0· 10~(-3) mol·L~(-1) of alkylic collector at pH between 4 and 11 and at the temperature 20 °C. The surface tension of the aqueous solutions of alkylic collector was also measured to obtain the values of the work of adhesion at the solid—liquid interface. Two different alkylic collectors have been used: sodium dodecyl sulfate and sodium 1-dodecanesulfonate.
