FedEx Freight International Graduate Logistics Case Competition deals with phase out of hazardous. The Environmental Protection Agency has declared hazardous a chemical used in one of your client's most profitable products. Its board of directors has given your consulting company 24 hours to create a plan for the worldwide phase-out, recall and replacement of the chemical over a 10-year period - faster than required by EPA regulations. What do you do? That was the case study presented to 12 teams of graduate students to solve at the 10th annual FedEx Freight International Graduate Logistics Case Competition. Held in February at the Supply Chain Management Research Center in the University of Arkansas' Sam M. Walton College of Business, the competition brought together the best logistics students in the world to present their solutions to this real-life case study.
