Egyptian longs makers cannot lift prices on poor demand

Contrary to expectations, domestic prices for longs have remained at February levels in Egypt. Neither the growth of import prices nor higher production costs (increased scrap quotations and electricity tariffs) have made steelmakers raise offers amid weak demand.
