Quotes of high-quality Australian coking coal also plunged to theirlowest level of $97-98/t FOB eastern ports of Australia. Chinese producershave managed to restore profitability due to the raw material price fall. Inmid-April the margin of Chinese steel product exporters rose to $52/t andreturns on domestic sales were $38/t.
