Export prices for square billets to go up in late February-early March

Quotations for CIS square billets began sliding again at the Azov-Black Sea ports in late January. Urged by the scrap price drop in Turkey in the first half of February and massive buying by the country’s producers at rather low prices, CIS square billet suppliers had to cut offers to $520-525/t FOB Black Sea when making deals despite limited supply of the commodity.
