U.S. Steel Canada to speed up restructuring process

U.S. Steel Canada has filed the motion to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to approve a sale andinvestment solicitation process (SISP) and to extend the stay period from January 29 to April 29, 2015.According to the document, the SISP will provide sufficient flexibility to solicit and to assess theproposals of interested parties in order to speed up the restructuring process of the company’s assetsincluding Hamilton Works and Lake Erie Works. Besides, the process will allow selecting combinations offinal bids that together represent the best overall value for stakeholders.
