STUDIES ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOME INSECTICIDES AGAINST APHIS CRACCIVORA KOCH. ON VICIA FABA L

Effect of six insecticides on the mortality rate oi Aphis craccivora Koch, on Vicia faba L. have been studied during different days after spraying of the insecticides. The result showed that mortality rate varies during the different days of study. However, Quinalphos was found to be most effective upto 15th day of spraying showing its knock down effect as well as longer residual action which is comparable with Phosalon, Pestaban, Roban, Ricord even after 21st day of observation. Roger showed comparatively longer persistence over the other insecticide of same concentration.
