FOOD PLANTS ASSOCIATIONS, SEASONAL OCCURRENCE AND PARAS1TOIDS/HYPERPARASITOIDS OF FEW SPECIES OF APHIS LINNAEUS FROM NORTH-EASTERN UTTAR PRADESH AND BIHAR

Aphis Linn, is a large and complex genus in the target area of north eastern Uttar Pradesh and recorded to infest a number of agricultural, horticultural and weed plants. Four polyphagous species of Aphis viz., Aphis asclepiadis Fitch, Aphis fabae complex, Aphis nasturtii Kaltenbach, Aphis nerii Boyer de Fonscolombe and Aphis critricola vander Goot were found to be parasitised by three species of parasitoids viz., Aphelinus gossypii Timberlake, Lipolexis scutellaris Mackauer and Binodoxys indicus Subba Rao & Sharma. B. indicus attacks all the Aphis spp. except A. nasturtii. These parasitoids were parasitised by three species of hyperparasitoids i.e., Alloxysta pleuralis (Cameron), Chartocerus walkeri Hayat and Phaenoglyphis sp.
