Exactl'y 30 years had passed since Frank W. Ofeldt's homemade whiskey still accidentally led to the birth of an industry. Small steam cleaners had found their way into every corner auto dealer, service station, and garage. Huge steam cleaning units were used faithfully in industrial facilities across the country. Pioneers such as Homestead, Clayton, and Malsbary now faced dozens of new adversaries. Steam had definitely found a home. While a few manufacturers had dabbled in designing machines capable of producing "high" pressure water, usage of such technology was still rather primitive. Then in 1957, a fresh discovery was again inadvertently unearthed which soon changed the face of the industry.
