Some time ago, I promised Cleaner Times staff that I would write technical articles and get away from the folksy articles on "It's the People, not the Equipment." After this last series on rinse aids, they are ready for me to get back to the more personal Viewpoint. The question is, "Are you ready?" I can't help but enjoy going to meetings and gossiping. At the National Association of Corrosion Engineers meeting in March in New Orleans, we combined good eating and fellowship with personal education. Amidst muffaletas, crab meat on artichoke hearts, great food courts on the River Walk near the Convention Center, and stuffed quail eaten in a restaurant festooned with opera singers, I forced myself to concentrate on waterjetting talks, committees, and getting to both NACE and National Shipbuilding Research Programs Paint Panel meetings. Staying awake is hard work.
