摘要

Common carp (Cyprinus carpio), the important constituent of freshwater aquaculture in India, was chosen as experimental fish to study the effect of different proteinacious diets on its spawning, fertilization, hatching and larvae survival rates. Maturation, breeding and spawning processes of this fish are affected by feed, light, temperature and water quality variations. Four non- drainable rectangular ponds were used for observing the growth, gonadal maturity, egg fertilization, hatching and larvaesurvival rates of fishes treated with different energy diets. The results for growth, fertilization, hatching and survival of the larvae were recorded and found maximum in the fishes of Pool C treated with 38% protein diet. Poor growth rate was observedin Pool D in which fishes were not provided the supplementary diet. The findings of this investigation are described in detail in the paper.
