摘要

Titania (TiO_2)has been widely used in the electronics,ceramics,catalysis and pigment industries.To enhance the properties of TiO_2,the preparation of nanosized TiO_2 and metal/TiO_2 nanocomposite particles has attracted the attention of many researchers (Kumar,1992 and Zhang,2000).Most of the solution approaches include calcinations of the powder to remove the liquid contaminants.Fabrication of the nanoparticles by laser ablation possesses many advantages to manipulate the properties of the products (Zbroniec,2001).CO_2 laser ablation has been used to produced nanomaterials like carbon nanotube (lijima,1999).However,to our best knowledge,there is no available literature on producing nanosized Pt encapsulated TiO_2 using continuous wave (CW)CO_2 laser ablation.In this work,nanosized Titannia with more than 95 % of anatase and Pt encapsulated inside TiO_2 composite particles were prepared by irradiating CW CO_2 laser on solid targets.
