Would you know a sex-trafficking victim if he or she walked into your office? When most think of a trafficking victim, they think of a foreigner locked in a sweatshop or massage parlor. But US Justice Department figures show that up to 85% of confirmed sex-trafficking cases involve victims who are US citizens. The law defines a trafficking victim as someone younger than 18 years who is made to commit a commercial sex act or as someone 18 years of age or older who is made to commit a commercial sex act through "force, fraud or coercion." You don't have to cross a national or state boundary to be one.
