The Pyrometallurgical Processing of Galvanizing Zinc Ash and Flue Dust

Large amounts of zinc ash and flue dust, containing more than 80 percent zinc, are accumulated during galvanization processes at the surface of molten zinc bath and in the chimney, respectively. The pyrometallurgical recovery of zinc from both ash and dust samples was carried out, and parameters affecting recovery processes such as time, temperature, and flux percentage were studied.
