REACH: BASF submits 40,000 preregistrations

The phase of the preregistration for the European Chemicals Regulations called REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) ended on December 1,2008. By then, BASF had submitted around 40,000 preregistrations with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki. Thus, BASF is one of the companies most strongly affected by REACH anywhere in the world.
