Tumours of the ankle and the foot are rare and can lead to a mutilating surgery. Among them, pigmented villonodular syn-ovitis (PVNS) represent less than 2% of all cases. The preferential localization is on the tibio-talar joint [1]. The localization on the metarsophalangeal joint is exceptional to our knowledge. We describe a rare localization of this tumour at the first metatarsopha-langeal joint.
