European fuel use edged almost 3% higher despite a near-5% drop in UK demand after the Brexit vote to leave the EU. A sharply devalued pound and economic uncertainty discouraged international travel out of UK airports. Doubledigit growth in Germany and Italy helped offset UK weakness.
