Japan's jet fuel market is on the mend, with demand climbing by nearly 12% in June to 205,000 barrels per day. Liftings for bonded fuel used on international flights jumped by 15%, while domestic usage was up by 8% as carriers add back flights. Further gains are expected this fall as Tokyo's Haneda airport opens for international flights. Refiners kept output at relatively high rates of 248,000 b/d and channeled more of the volume into export markets. Shipments out of country totaled 36,000 b/d in June, with some of the volume ending up on the US West Coast.
