Asahi Kasei Fibers to Bring Polvketone Fiber to Market

Asahi Kasei Fibers plans to launch its new polyketone fiber in H1 2009 followed by full-scale marketing,with the aim of raising its production of the next-generation fiber to 10,000 t/y two years after the product's commercial release.It has already begun distributing samples to potential customers for evaluation for use in such applications as rubber reinforcement,protective gloves and nonwoven cloth.
