Ogawa to Start Operation of Flavor Plant in Shanghai in 2004

Ogawa & Co. is to construct a flavors and fragrances plant in China. It is currently applying to establish a wholly-owned local subsidiary on the outskirts of Shanghai, and is moving to acquired a site for its palnt. As soon as the frameowrk is put in place, work will start, aiming for completion at the end of 2003. The production capacity and amount of investment in the plant have yet to be finalized, but "We are assuming a similar size to our Indonesian plant" (President Yutaka Ogawa).
