Shimadzu to Set Up Nobel Prize Commemorative Institute

Koichi Tanaka, who is to receive the Novel Prize in Chemistry, met October 15 Shimadzu President Hidetoshi Yajima for the first time since the decision to award Tanaka the prize, at Shimadzu's head office in Chuo-ku, Kyoto. Having just arrived back in Japan after a business trip to the U.S., Yajima offered Tanaka his congratulations.
