CARGOTEC MacGregor gravity self-unloading systems deliver efficient, green operations

Boom conveyors, hydraulic actuators, watertight bulkhead doors and basket gates are all key elements of MacGregor gravity self-unloading concept, in service with ships ranging in size from 4500 -135,000 DWT, with discharge capacities of up to 6000 tph. Cargotec has been delivering its gravity self-unloading belt conveyor systems since 1956 and the latest systems benefit from over 50 years of development and operational experience. However, as in all areas of its activities, Cargotec continues to refine and improve this concept with ongoing development of specific elements of the cargo handling process. Sales director Johan Ericson said this forward-looking approach has won Cargotec the International Bulk Journal's (IBJ) environment protection award in 2009 and 2010 for the best examples of its technology-leading products.
