Following the installation of Siwertell continuous screw-type shipunloaders at the Mai Liao Port, the efficiency of coal intake has reached the required levels set out by Formosa Plastic Group. As of the end of April this year, the three unloaders have accumulated approximately 7500 operating hours at an efficiency in accordance with the contractual terms, i.e. the through-the-ship capacity is 70 percent of the rated capacity of each unloader. This efficiency has led to significant cost savings due to the quicker turnaround time of the vessels.
