An attempt was made to consider piles of different designs in the aspect of their skin friction. In this field, the practice is extremely important and frequently studies are performed while accomplishing practical works. In this sense, the subject of this work is mainly the consideration of the state of designs based on theoretical developments. The author would be happy if the work will serve as a reference for future studies.
