Notes on the Genus Iproca (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) of Japan, with Description of a New Species

A new species of the lamiine genus Iproca is described from Okinawa Island of the Ryukyus under the name of I. aoyamaorum. In addition, I. ishigakiana BREUNING et OHBAYASHI is redescribed with illustration of the male genitalia in comparison with newspecies. Iproca is a small genus belonging to the tribe Apomecynini of the subfamily Lamiinae. It was erected by GRESSITT (1940) based on the species, Iproca acuminata, of Hainan Is. The characteristics of the genus are the stout and less tapered antennae, distinctly projected outer angle of elytral apex, brush-like hairs beneath the hind femora of male, and so on. Up to the present, four species of the genus have so far been known from Southeast Asia, viz. L acuminata GRESSITT, 1940, from Hainan Island of South China, I. ishigakiana BREUNING et OHBAYASHI, 1966, from Ishigaki Is. of the Ryukyus, I. laosensis BREUNING, 1968, from Laos and I. flavolineata HAYASHI, 1971, from Taiwan.
