A series of 2-aryl-substituted imidazolidines were prepared through the simple diamine transfer reactions between 2-alkyl-substituted imidazolidines and aromatic aldehydes under the catalysis of n-butylamine.Imidazolidine motifs have widespread been found in biologically active compounds.
