摘要

Photoreaction of arenecarbothioamides (1) with 3-methylfuran (2) in benzene-acetone mixed solvent gave 5-aryl-2,3-dihydrothiophene derivatives (3) accompanied by pyrrole compounds. In a previous paper, we have reported that irrdiation of a benzene solution of benzenecarbothioamide and furan resulted n the formation of 3-benzoylfuran via intermolecular thietane formation.
