Ceramic materials based on silicon carbide SiC have unique properties, such as thermostability and refractoriness, chemical stability, and high hardness and thermal conductivity. Due to these properties, SiC has a wide range of applications, including abrasives and cutting materials, structural ceramics and crystals for microelectronics, catalysts, and coatings [1].
