摘要

The abundance, resources, and composition of humus are among the most important quantities that determine almost all valuable properties of soils [1]. The qualitative features of soil humus are characterized via determination of its fractional-group composition based on different solubilities of humic substances (HS) as a function of pH [1]. This approach offers a very useful tool for evaluating the state of soils. However, it has a serious drawback because of its underlying idea that soil humus is a mixture of humic acids (HA), fulvic acids (FA), and humin. As a result, there is no satisfactory explanation to some trends in variation of the fractional-group composition of humus (on the background of an unchanged total humus percentage) during a season or upon soil freezing [2].
