摘要

The size and shape of the first lower (ml) and the third upper (M3) teeth of voles (Microtinae) have been studied as one of the few available objects for the research of the evolutionary, biostratigraphic and pale oecological problems by paleontologists and have been used to resolve morphologic, systematic and eco logical problems in neontology. The majority of stud ies assume independence of the proportions of differ ent morphotypes in the samples on the animal’s indi vidual age, as was reported by Hinton [1].
