摘要

The skin of amphibians and other isolated epithelial systems are classic objects used to study the mechanisms of transepithelial transport of various substances. The amphibian skin, urinary bladder, and distal parts of renal tubules display similar responses to some hormones and the ability to transport electrolytes [1]. This similarity may be used to study the mechanisms of the transport of water and ions in renal cells in experiments with amphibian epithelial cells. The key role in the Na~+ transport in the reabsorbing epithelia is played by amiloride-sensitive epithelial Na~+-channels (ENaCs). The structure and topology of ENaCs in the membrane have been well studied [2, 3], whereas the hormonal and intracellular regulation of ENaC activity are known worse.
