摘要

A novel spiroxazine containing a mesogenic group has been prepared. The colourless spiroxazine exhibit photo-chromism through ring opening of the oxazine ring. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray crystallography and the crystal was found to exist in the triclinic space group P_1 (No. 1).
