Veterinarian David Rapoport, 31, is now serving two consecutive life sentences for killing his mistress and their unborn child last March. The Philadelphia-area veterinarian changed his plea to guilty Dec. 8, admitting to charges of first-degree murder of veterinary technician Jennifer Snyder and first-degree murder of their unborn child. The Lehigh County District Attorney s Office says an autopsy revealed that Snyder was in her first trimester of pregnancy with a baby boy. DNA tests later confirmedRapoport, who is married, was the father. In early June, Rapoport pleaded not guilty to the crime. The presiding judge called Rapoport's crime "cruel and inhuman" and asked him what was going through his mind as he sat in a bagel shop with Snyder just before killing her and dumping her body in a local preserve.
