摘要

The generation of earthquakes is known to be usually understood as a stochastic process. However, according to experimental data, major earthquakes occur to some extent systematically. The time series of the number of earthquakes for the western and eastern hemispheres and separately for the northern and southern parts of both eastern and western hemispheres have a high correlation coefficient, which confirms the presence of a GCSP for the Earth. The earthquake mechanism is known to be accompanied by fragile destruction of the Earth's pre-stressed crust, which results in the disappearance of elastic deformations. Thus, the assumption about the combined influence of the Earth's oscillatory and rotational motions on each other under the action of external perturbations turns out to be natural. A situation where the frequency spectrum of the Earth's axial rotation can be arbitrarily close to that of the Earth's pole oscillations is observed.
