In this study, we present several statements about the planar spectral problem of elasticity theory describing the propagation of waves in thin-wall boxlike constructions used in modern engineering both in the fabrication of composite materials with specific properties and in the implementation of various architectural projects. In nature, there are also almost regular structures, for example, quartzites, massive granite prisms which are separated from each other by quartz layers. Bricklaying with an elastic connecting material (Fig. 1) is one more possible application of the results presented below on the localization of lowfrequency oscillations near nodes of joints of thin crosspieces. The found effect points to zones that are most subjected to destruction and, consequently, of top priority for defectoscopy.
