CLEANER MACHINES: Doosan Infracore introduces three more Tier 4 interim hydraulic excavators for North America

Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment America, West Fargo, N.D., has introduced several new excavators designed to meet Tier 4 interim emissions standards. The DX140LC-3 and DX180LC-3 are both powered by six-cylinder Doosan DL06K engines rated 109 and 125 hp, respectively. The engines incorporate wastegate turbocharging with high-pressure common rail fuel injection and electronic control. They utilize a cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) system, diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to meet the emissions regulations. An electronic fan clutch helps also reduce fuel consumption and noise levels, said the company.
