When Phillips & Temro was acquired by private equity investor Morgenthaler Partners earlier this year, President and CEO Gary Edwards indicated that with Morgenthaler s backing, his company was liable to be quite active on the expansion and acquisition trail. Now only about six months later, that statement has become fact, as Phillips & Temro announced its acquisition of engine fan manufacturer Truflo Air Movements of the United Kingdom. Financial terms were not disclosed. Based in Tipton, England, Truflo is a global manufacturer of engine cooling fans for the heavy-duty off-road markets, primarily construction and power generation. It had been part of Concentric plc, a global group of companies headquartered in Birmingham, England, specializing in the design, manufacture and supply of pumps and cooling fans to diesel engine and equipment manufacturers.
